| There are certain combinations that work, others do not. A West Coast flare with Midwest values combine to be the foundation of this up and coming wood bat company; it seems to be working out very well. Ronnie and myself have played baseball for a combined 42 years and the one thing we have seen slip is the core values in production. The gloves became more expensive, yet seemed cheaper. The bats had more flare than Applebee’s, but weren’t holding up. The little things were dying with the purity of the game we all had grown up loving, baseball. Who better to decide if a product is quality or junk, the manufacturer? Maybe the supplier? Wrong, the answer is the end-user. That is how Triple Crown Bat Company was born. We here at Triple Crown are the end-users. We don’t want junk and believe that if a bat isn’t good enough for us to swing, you shouldn’t either. Each bat is inspected by us from the start to finish, and doesn’t get our approval for sale unless we swing it and make sure it feels good in the hand, has good grain and is a quality stick. I could sit here and tell you our wood is picked from some remote hidden timber in the hills of Pennsylvania, and Canada but that just wouldn’t be the case. We have our distributors select quality grain wood from select mills in these areas just like every other smoke and mirror company out there. The difference in our bat is the hands on work that goes into each and every stick produced. We the owners put our finishing touches into each and every bat from the engraving to the final finish coat. Our intent was to begin making wood bats for us. We still play in a semi-pro wood bat league and wanted to have an avenue for not only the two of us, but our team to also be able to use real wood instead of composite due to the performance of real wood. Ronnie and I knew just how special a good wood bat was and realized we hadn’t found one in quite some time. Well, word got out that we were not only making quality wood bats, but that we were hitting the ball well using our own wood. That’s when we came up with the idea. Why not sell some of these? We were recently beaten by a team that had players swinging our bats. Needless to say it was a bittersweet afternoon. If we were pricing these bats on labor costs alone, they would be 300.00 a piece. We put a lot of time and effort into each bat, and believe that this is exactly what is lacking in the industry today. Companies are so worried about quantity that they forget quality, and I can tell you that is surely not the case here at Triple Crown Bat Co. We all know that one bad experience has the power to persuade a person’s opinion over ten good experiences when it comes to reputation. We here at Triple Crown want you to be pleased with your bat. We want you to know that your hard earned money went towards something that you can feel confident in and trust. You will know that our product will do everything it can to put a good true charge into a baseball each and every swing. No sales pitch, no gimmicks, just baseball. I promise that when you pick up a Triple Crown bat, you will feel quality, not quantity. Simply put……..we let our bats do the talking.
